This policy explains how esim.global collects and uses personal data when you visit our website or buy a travel eSIM.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Intergo Telecom Ltd, Paphos, Cyprus (EU). You can contact us about privacy at support@esim.global. Please mark your email “Privacy request” and we will forward it to our Data Protection Officer.
What we collect
- Order details: your email address, the plan and destination you choose, and your order history.
- Payment information: payments are handled by our payment provider. We receive a confirmation and limited details such as the card type and last four digits, never your full card number.
- eSIM and usage data: technical identifiers needed to deliver and support your eSIM (such as the eSIM profile ID and device EID), activation time, and the amount of data used.
- Phone number add-on: if you add a phone number, some countries require us to verify your identity before assigning it. In that case we collect the details the local rules require.
- Support messages: the content of emails you send us.
- Website data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) kept for security and troubleshooting.
Why we use it
- To deliver your eSIM and provide the service you bought (performance of a contract).
- To answer support requests and fix connection problems (performance of a contract).
- To prevent fraud and keep our systems secure (legitimate interests).
- To meet telecom, tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation).
- To measure how our website is used and improve it, only if you accept analytics cookies (consent).
- To send you marketing emails, only if you have agreed and until you unsubscribe (consent).
Who we share it with
We share data only as needed to run the service: with the mobile networks that provide coverage in your destination, our payment provider, hosting and email providers, Google (for website analytics, only if you consent), and public authorities where the law requires it. Some of these partners are outside the EU; where that happens, we rely on adequacy decisions or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. We never sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
We keep order and billing records for as long as tax and telecom law requires, typically up to 7 years. Support messages are kept for up to 2 years, and server logs for up to 90 days.
Cookies
Our website uses a small number of essential cookies and browser storage it needs to work, such as remembering your cookie choice and keeping your checkout session.
Analytics (only with your consent). If you click “Accept” in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to understand how visitors find and use esim.global, for example which destination pages are most popular. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) and processes your IP address, device and browser information and pages visited. We have not enabled Google advertising features, and nothing from Google loads until you accept. Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. We do not use advertising cookies.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email us. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus or to the data protection authority where you live.
